Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We’re happy to talk with you if you walk in, but taking an Intake class may be mandatory to join the Recruit classes.
What equipment do I need?
Indoor gym shoes, light gloves and a HEMA-level fencing mask are all that is required to start. The Recruit-level uniform is black pants and a white t-shirt.
I study with another school, can I stop by and check it out?
Absolutely! Please contact us first to arrange a visit.
Isn’t this dangerous?
Any martial art is dangerous, and we train hard without ego or pride to make it as safe as possible while still being true to the art.
Do you run children’s classes?
Unfortunately, we do not offer children’s programming. Despite several of the instructors being parents who want their kids to follow in their footsteps, teaching this martial art to children is not currently possible.
Do you offer private events or instruction?
On occasion we do! Please contact us to discuss it!
